NIBTT Makes Charitable Donation to Social Homes

 Scarborough, June 12, 2013:

Several homes for displaced children and geriatric hospices have benefited from items which were not sold at a recent auction held by the NIBTT. The auction, held over the last weekend, was to sell items from the decommissioned NIBTT Mall in Scarborough.

Conducted by Edward Soon and Company, Certified Auctioneers, the public event was well attended by persons from both Islands generating some sales. Purchasers were allowed to remove their items immediately and the NIBTT allowed until Tuesday June 11, 2013 to remove all remaining purchased items.

Most importantly, the unsold but re-usable items were vested to Orphanages and Geriatric Homes registered in Tobago. This is in keeping with the NIBTT's continued attempt to fulfill its corporate social responsibility. The NIBTT recognizes the need to interact with the community for positive effect.

Meanwhile, NIBTT commits to keeping the Public informed as we approach the demolition and reconstruction Phase of the new NIBTT Building Complex. Updates will be forthcoming as activity continues.
