NIBTT RIO CLARO HAS A NEW HOME

The National Insurance Board of Trinidad and Tobago (NIBTT) opened its new Rio Claro Service Centre, on Monday, January 26, at 2461 Naparima Mayaro Road. The new space is safe and comfortable for customers and well outfitted for employees to execute their duties and serve the public efficiently, effectively and in a time-sensitive manner.

According to Niala Persad-Poliah, Executive Director of the NIBTT, “2015 is about transformation at the NIBTT. Critical to this transformation is a renewed commitment to the mandate of the NIBTT and a deeper understanding of NIBTT’s mission as an organisation. Our primary mission is to serve the people of Trinidad of Tobago. The NIBTT has been entrusted with a huge responsibility and we intend to deliver on that mandate.”

Service delivery is critical to every aspect of NIBTT’s business and will continue to be NIBTT’s main focus as we seek to deliver excellence to our customers.

The NIBTT has invested substantially in the new Rio Claro Service Centre through a plan that also addressed health and safety concerns. Last year, December 2014, the NIBTT also engaged a facility management provider to deliver extensive maintenance services, in a continuing effort to improve the accommodations at all NIBTT properties, to enhance employee working conditions, and the overall customer service experience.

A brief opening ceremony was hled on Monday and attended by Mr David Law – Assistant to the Mayaro MP The Honourable Winston Peters, Mr Hazarie Ramdeen, Chairman of the Rio Claro Regional Corporation and Mr. Vedaish Maharaj. Following the ceremony, NIBTT’s executive director, Niala Persad-Poliah met with staff and personally introduced herself to the first customers to enter the new Rio Claro Service Centre.

“As we begin from this our new location this morning, we begin with a new attitude and a new approach to service … in a new year.”

On Monday, customers also receive a complimentary breakfast, refreshments during the course of the day and tokens of appreciation.
